How Crabs Interact With Other Crabs
- Crabs fight each other for many reasons. One reason may be that they are trying to win over a female.
- Hermit crabs fight each other to get a different shell if it get too small.
- Crabs will fight each other if they want to claim a territory that is already occupied.
- If a hermit crab is bigger it will feel more in charge and therefore fight the smaller one.
- Also, if a hermit crab detects another scent it will be afraid and attack it.
